The EIIP invited students and practitioners of emergency management to meet in the Virtual Classroom to discuss the future of the emergency management profession. For the formal part of the session, speakers involved in various perspectives of the business were asked to share some of their vision for career potentials in the 21st century.

Speakers represented the public and private sector as well as academia/research. After a message from Kay Goss, CEM, Associate Director of FEMA's Preparedness Directorate, guest speakers listed above addressed emergency management career opportunities in their formal remarks and were available for direct questions in the latter part of the session. After the Q&A segment of the Virtual Library, session participants shared some lighter moments via technology in a cartoon contest and sun-and-sand visuals provided by Amy Sebring, EIIP Technical Projects Coordinator.
